Emerald Isle, N.C. (December 4, 2019) —Transportation Impact and First Flight Solutions of Emerald Isle announce they will host a groundbreaking ceremony for their planned new building extension on Dec. 6.
It has been less than four years since Transportation Impact, which began in a surf shop’s broom closet in 2008, expanded from three suites in a strip mall to its existing headquarters, which was opened in spring 2016. The company has grown so rapidly — along the way earning a multitude of awards, including a remarkable seven consecutive listings on the Inc. 5000 — that the “new” building is already bursting at the seams.
The new extension will add 12,000 sq. ft., almost doubling the total space available to the companies from 13,000 sq. ft. to 25,000 sq. ft. The addition, at a length of 75 ft., will add 60 new workspaces (office or cubicle), as well as a 2,000 sq. ft. multipurpose room on the third floor that can be divided into three rooms: combination meeting room(s) for business functions and a banquet area for Caribsea functions. Caribsea is an upscale seafood restaurant on the third floor of the existing company building.
The groundbreaking ceremony will include a press conference with local media (press, radio, and television) followed by a steel beam signing in which the Transportation Impact and First Flight Solutions team members will write their best wishes on the steel before the next phases of building begin.
